I'm glad you’ve found your way to my corner of the web. My name is Peter Eaton, and I'm the hands and heart behind Peter Eaton by Design. My journey into knife making began in 2006 when I crafted my first knife. That first knife was the spark that ignited a deep passion for this craft.

Before I became a full-time knife-maker, I was a firefighter and am a military veteran, roles that demanded nothing less than the highest standards. This mindset of precision and excellence has carried over into my knife making. I pour my experience and dedication into every blade, ensuring it is not just a tool, but a reliable companion, crafted to meet the specific needs of its user.

I work with a range of high-quality steels, from carbon steels to top-tier Swedish powder steels such as Elmax and Vanax. Whether I’m creating a finely-balanced chef’s knife or a robust deer stalking blade, I put my heart into making each piece unique. No two knives are exactly alike, and that’s the way I like it.
